Kamel Dabwan
Kamel is a 3rd year undergraduate majoring in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. He's a Yemeni immigrant who came to the U.S. ,like any other immigrants, for better economic opportunity. He arrived to Los Angles airport in 2006 with no intention for higher education. He started going to community college in 2008 and he made it to UC Berkeley in 2012. He believes that Yemenis communities need more educated members than just grocery business owners.
Najwa Howard
Najwa is a 3rd year undergraduate majoring in Middle Eastern Studies at UC Berkeley. She became interesting in studying the Middle East after learning that many of her family members live in the Middle East or North Africa. After graduating from Cal she plans on attending Graduate or Law School and possibly work in foreign service. Dr. Bazian is one of her favorite professors at Berkeley.
Hala Diab
Hala is a 3rd year undergraduate majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in University of California at Berkeley. She came to the U.S 4 years ago from Syria to pursue her higher education. Her religious background is Christian. She took Dr. Bazian course for a better understanding of the discrimination against Arab and Muslims.
Rohan Sachdev
Rohan is a 3rd year undergraduate majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in University of California Berkeley. He came to U.S 2 years ago from India. His Religious Background is Hinduism. Dr Bazian's course on Islam helped him learn lots of hidden facts about Islam.
